Coats Veterinary Hospital is a female-owned and led practice dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate veterinary care for pets and the people who love them. Since opening its doors in 1997, our privately-owned hospital has grown into a collaborative five-doctor practice where teamwork, experience, and genuine care for animals guide everything we do.
Our expertly trained veterinarians bring years of training and experience to their work, graduating in 2006, 2009, 2013, 2018 and 2019 from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University and St. George’s University. Together, they combine their knowledge and perspectives to provide well-rounded care for every patient.

One of the strengths of Coats Veterinary Hospital
is the collaborative environment among our doctors and team members. Our veterinarians regularly share ideas, discuss cases, and work together to determine the best path forward for each pet.
Because we are a five-doctor practice, there are typically multiple veterinarians in the hospital at the same time. During procedures such as surgery, another doctor may be available to assist or consult when needed. This collective approach allows our team to bring multiple perspectives and experiences to patient care.
For pet owners, this collaborative approach means you are an active part of your pet’s care. Our veterinarians take time to talk through recommendations, answer questions, and make decisions together for your pet’s health.
