Coats
Veterinary Hospital’s emergency service policies are as follows: |
| |
|
Payment is due at the time of
service. Services provided during the initial consultation must be paid for
at the time of service. Additionally, a deposit for any additional services
will be required should your pet require hospitalization for additional
care. |
| |
|
NOTE:
Because of the cost of medical supplies, the
doctors’ time involved and the extra staff required for emergency care, we
reserve the right to refuse service if the necessary payments cannot be made
at the time of service. You can apply for CARE CREDIT (a “veterinary”
credit card) online in the privacy of your own home and you can print your
credit card number to be used for both routine care and when emergency
services are needed. If coming in on emergency, it is important that you
bring this number with you.

Our emergency
service is accessed through our regular phone line - 252-407-1616. The
recorded message will give you a number to call. PLEASE NOTE: THE NUMBERS
GIVEN ARE TO BE USED FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY! In most cases a doctor will call
you back directly. At times, a veterinary technician will return your call
and page the doctor on call, if necessary. We reserve the right to bill you
(starting at $25) for non-emergency, general information questions such as
hours of operation, flea control questions, etc. All non-emergency calls,
whether you are an existing client or not, will receive bills as defined
below. |
