…Our operating room is equipped with circulating (non-burn) warm water pads as well as pediatric breathing tubes for the tiniest of patients.

…Anesthesia during your pet’s surgery is administered by the doctor only and your pet has a private post-operative surgical nurse.

…Our cardiology department has EKG available for monitoring intensive care patients.  Heart “halter” devices are also available from an outside lab if your pet is required to wear a heart monitor at home.  Your pet’s EKG can be videotaped for transmission over the internet or can be transmitted by phone for immediate consultation.  We also have interpretative EKG in house.

…Our intensive care unit is equipped with a fully stocked pharmacy, warm water (non burn) blankets, IV fluid pumps for fluid management and a remote access camera by which your pet’s doctor can monitor your pet from home at all hours of the night.

…Dr. Coats makes late night checks on all hospitalized patients.

…We have an in-house ultrasound for bladder ultrasounds and liver and kidney biopsies.

…An outside veterinary consultant is available to come to our hospital and perform detailed ultrasounds of the heart and abdomen to further evaluate heart disease and to help rule out cancer and other problems such as foreign objects.

…Our computer system allows us to access your pet’s records from anywhere in the United States.

…We have regular monthly staff meetings to discuss the latest techniques and customer service and ways we can improve to serve you better and continue to provide your pet with the best medical care possible.
