Since then, he has served as interim pastor at several area churches during his retirement. He also wrote religion and life articles for the Rocky Mount Telegram for 8 years and published a book with his favorite collection of articles. Not only is Rev. Coats an invaluable employee for our mobile support services at Coats Veterinary Hospital; he is also the father of Marshall Coats, owner of Coats Veterinary Hospital.
