Dog Boarding
|
| |
 |
Please feel free to
visit our boarding facilities at any time. Boarding reservations must be
made in advance. Our boarding facilities have individual kennels for small,
medium, and large breed dogs. They are stainless steel and have rubber mats
raised from the floor for comfort and cleanliness. All dogs are walked by
our kennel staff three times daily. Our kennels are all inside with climate
control. |

Cat Boarding
|
| |
 |
We have a cat boarding facility, which is
separate from our kennel area. Your cat is never exposed to boarding with
our canine patients and therefore have a comfortable stay. |

Kennel Cough Vaccine (Bordetella)
|
| |
 |
Kennel cough is an "infectious
tracheobronchitis" - upper respiratory disease that is most often contracted
when many dogs are housed together in one area. We recommend kennel cough
vaccination twice a year to protect your dog, whether your dog boards with
us, plays with other dogs in the neighborhood or visits a groomer. Kennel
cough vaccination is a painless intranasal vaccination. If your dog needs
boarding reservations and is not current on his/her vaccinations, especially
kennel cough, they must be updated 2 weeks prior to boarding for adequate
protection. Our staff will do its best to contact you 2 weeks before your
pet is due to arrive.
NOTE: We do not recommend kennel cough
vaccine for cats. |

Bathing |
| |
 |
If you wish for your pet to have a bath prior
to going home, please let us know. For the cleanliness and safety of all of your
boarders, if your pet has fleas or ticks prior to entering the hospital, he
or she will be treated. (An extra charge will apply). Frontline can be
applied to your pet 48 hours after his or her bath to aid in flea and tick
control. Quality shampoos are used for your pet. Your doctor can
discuss which one would work best for your pet. |
